The hydroxyl of the molecular structure enters the crosslinking network through bonding in chemical with HTPB, and physical absorption has happened between much nitrile groups and ammonium nitrate oxidant. Ammonium nitrate or modified for HTPB solid propellant has been used to improve the mechanical property. It has been also used to be the bonding agent to improve the mechanical property for HTPB and ammonium perchlorate solid propellant.
